| North Meets South is in series number 4 "High 5!". In this vignette, a Northern Hemisphere Polar Bear meets a Southern Hemisphere Emperor Penguin. Impossible? No, not with a little Imagination. Pieces are very firmly needle felted using several sheep breed's fibers, the 4" long Polar Cub gives the 2.75" tall Emperor Penguin youngster a solid 'High 5!' Polar bear's eyes are onyx beads and happy to show off the Studio trademark of 20 tiny metal claws. Penguin's vivid colors are hand shaded and he stands firmly on epoxy clay feet with epoxy clay beak and antique nail head bead eyes. | Glacier and Knut "Lets go for a ride". Glacier measures 16 1/2 inches tall and is made of cream colored mohair. He has needle felted paw pads and detailing around his eyes. Wired and with hand made, liquid polymer claws. Knut, the seal, measures 11 inches and is made of kid mohair. Both have German glass eyes, clay noses and are extensive scissor sculptured with gentle shading around the nose, eyes and paws. Glacier has cashmere paw pads, is five-way, nut and bolt jointed and stuffed with fiber-fil. The seal is 7 inches made of vintage cashmere and he has wired fins and tail. | Devoted is 4 inches tall made from cashmere-like mini fabric. The paws, hat and little toy bear are made from an old, well-loved jacket. Left over jacket material forms the background. Fully, custom-made, swivel-disk jointed. Black onyx eyes. Berta tried something new with the eyes, it is very difficult to add eyelids to little bears and 2 mm beads so she developed thread eye-lids. The nose is embroidered and wax, and a bright smile. Devoted holds his little toy-bear.

| Julie and Cody. Julie is 9 1/2 inches tall and made of straight dusty pink mohair. Fully jointed with wire armature in her arms. Black eyes are blown-glass with leather eye lids accented with silver and black glitter dust. Gray perele cotton hand stitched nose. Scissor sculpted face accented with shades of pink and purple oil paints. German Merino wool felt paw pads, accented to match. Stuffed with Poly-fil and BB's. Wears removable tulle top. Cody is about 4 inches and made of sparse mohair and was designed in permanent position. Blown-glass eyes and nose, stitched mouth, hand painted accents and is stuffed with Poly-fil. | Jiska and Jolein - Jiska is a 70 cm standing bear, filled with sheep wool and mineral pellets, black glass eyes and a black embroidered nose. She wears a cotton trousers and a linen top jacket with several pockets to hold her tiny bears. Jolein is a 40 cm bear with bent legs, filled with sheep's wool and glass pellets. She has black glass eyes and a black embroidered nose. She wears cotton trousers with handmade leather shoes.

| Chilling Out - Polar bear is 22 cm seated and the penguin is 16 cm tall. The bear is made of Japanese silk "fur" and the penguin from black Schulte mohair and white micro-fibre fabric. Polar bear has cashmere inner ear and paw pads, needle-felted face, with black glass eyes and stitched and lacquered nose . He has seven joints, double neck and wrist joints plus wired arms and hands. They are stuffed with poly-fibre, kapok and steel shot for weight. The penguin has just one neck joint, a Fimo clay beak, black glass eyes and velvet feet. Polar bear is wearing a hand-knitted hat and is enjoying a glass of "red" served by the penguin waiter wearing a red bow tie with a napkin over his flipper and carries a "silver" tray. | Courting Kitties - The little alley cats are both 5 inches tall and made of sparse mohair which was hand dyed and colored. Kitties are fully jointed and are free-standing. Both have realistic glass eyes and genuine horse hair whiskers. The Calico Girl has a demure expression while the Russian Blue Boy looks a little awkward and nervous as he presents his love with flowers and a tasty fishy snack which were also hand made.

| Honeysuckle A realistic teddy bear standing 7 1/4 inches tall and made brown mohair with black tips. Ultra-suede foot and paw pads with needle sculpted toes. Dark amber glass eyes with white accents. He has black hand sculpted nose and claws with wired arms for extraordinary posing possibilities. Shading to enhance the character of Honeysuckle who is stuffed with fiberfill and weighted for that huggable feel. Honey pot is filled with simulated honey.

| Eddie is 3 inches standing and 2.25 inches sitting. He is made from long pile, gold with dark backing upholstery fabric. His paw pads are light brown Ultra-suede with embroidered claw details. Eddie's face has been scissor sculpted and shaded and his eyes are black onyx beads with white Ultra-suede highlights. He has a black, hand molded, varnished wax nose. Eddie has a cotter pin neck joint and thread jointed limbs and is filled with kapok and steel shot. All the picnic food was hand made and painted too. | Beatrice is a lady dressed to the nines! She stands 12 inches tall with German glass eyes and a hand embroidered nose. Made of German Schulte blonde mohair with tan Ultra-suede paw pads. Her had is hand made with a veil and ruby ornament. Wrapped around her is a mink stole with a vintage brooch of 'rubies and diamonds'. Beatrice sits in a vintage velveteen clutch purse which contains a pair of vintage red leather glovers, a gold antique compact with 'rubies and diamonds' atop and a vintage child's glove stretcher. To see a good looking gent coming her way; she wears eye glasses too.

| Shilin and Charlotte - Shilin (Himstedt 2007) is wearing an outfit from soft cotton in grey with a soft pink t-shirt and leather children's shoes. Charlotte is a 74 cm bear, made of long tipped brown-beige mohair and filled with sheep's wool and mineral pellets.
